ABOUT THE “My Heart in a Million Pieces” SERIES

The “My Heart in a Million Pieces” series is a life-long series Meg hopes to accomplish before the end of her life. The series will include all types of materials and mediums but with the same concept — each work is a heart or multiple hearts broken into pieces.

The work was inspired by the moments in Meg’s life when her heart was broken into a million pieces and the paralyzing emotions she felt during those times. The lifetime length of the series parallels how the how experiences of heartbreak can have a lifelong effect on anyone who has experienced heartbreak in one way or another, and how we will all experience heartbreak multiple times for different reasons over the course of our lives.

Heartbreak is universal feeling all humans can experience. It transcends age, race, gender, socioeconomic status, and culture.

The series will be finished when the number of pieces contained in each work in the series adds up to one million pieces.
