Honestly, I don’t have a ton of earrings. But in many cases, statement earrings make an outfit, especially for events. And I love statement earrings. I almost always wear my hair back so earrings are very important piece of my outfit.
My jewelry philosophy is the same as my clothing philosophy — I’d rather have a fewer sets of earrings that I love, rather than a ton that I just like. BUT I’m all for getting a pair of cheap fun earrings every once in a while too. The two expensive pairs of earrings I bought a few years ago I’ve continued to wear (you’ve seen them countless times here) and they haven’t gotten old yet (to me at least). They are these Elizabeth Cole Fish Earrings and Elizabeth Cole Mohawk Earrings.
So while it might seem crazy to buy expensive earrings (that aren’t diamonds!), those two pairs of earrings have been clutch for me in so many situations and have been absolutely worth it. One of my shopping secrets is that I’m always stalking THE OUTNET for designer items at a discount — that’s actually where I got the fish earrings, but they don’t have them any longer.
