I tend to lean toward neutral when it comes to interiors. I like to add an accent of color in the accessories, art, pillows and sometimes rugs, but for the main pieces that will stay with you for years I always go with something neutral. I love the simplicity of the black, gray, white and brown palette in Nina Holst’s living room. If you get tired with this look you can easily change the art and pillows up for a few hundred dollars and have a completely different look the next season.

Sadly his show wasn’t renewed for another season. I think it just took him a while to get comfortable because I thought it kept getting better and better, but I’m sure it’s opened other doors for him. His new book The Things That Matter comes out next week, and his line for Target just launched. It’s pretty damn good. Items below from his line are marked with an *.

As a fan of black walls (I have one) I was naturally attracted to this office by Jenny Wolf Interiors. I also just happened to have a Parsons Desk and really want a brass Pharmacy Lamp, so this office space was really calling out to me. Continue reading…

Marcus Hay knows how to do a pink accent wall. It’s not too much pink or overly girly, but just enough. Continue reading…
