Usually when I’m putting together an outfit, I find a piece that inspires me, and build the outfit around that. In this case it’s these TIBI patterned sateen pants I’ve had my eye on for a year (they’re on sale at The Outnet — which is the best place to get designer goods at a discount.) As much as I think pattern on pattern is cool, I’m more of a pattern + solid type of gal and since it’s cold outside, I paired the pants with a cozy black A.L.C. sweater which I would wear probably once a week all winter long.
I love it when I can find black or gunmetal hardware (as opposed to gold) and when I can find a silver bag that’s not too silvery. More in between and gunmetal — enter this Elizabeth & James leather shoulder bag (hello holiday wishlist!). And these Delman d’Orsay pumps have a cool metallic detail on the heel (and when this post went live they were 50% off at Nordstrom).
Being a nail gal I always want to find the perfect polish for each outfit (I spend way too long looking for the exact perfect shade, and no I don’t change my own polish everyday, nor do I own the perfect color for every outfit). When I saw this NARS limited edition metallic polish I was like — perrrrrfect!
And while we’re talking about beauty, Lacoste sent me their new Sensuelle Pour Femme fragrance, and I was honestly surprised at how much I like it! I typically am attracted to musky, slightly spicy scents and the main accords in this scent are: sweet, nutty, amber, white floral, soft spicy and fruity. So don’t overlook it thinking it’s preppy.
Last but certainly not least, I’m always on the hunt for cool phone cases. Mine stay pretty clean so I don’t need a new one too often, but I’m loving this leather iPhone case with raised dots.
If you wanted to dress this up a little more for a holiday party, you could wear metallic heels and statement earrings, and with a bold lip (NARS Liv) and maybe some liquid eyeliner you’d be good to go!
