Do you ever look up at the clock at 5pm and think, what the heck did I do today? Or you come home and your husband asks, what’d you do today? And it takes you a minute to answer because what is going through your head is — ya, what did I do today? I know the feeling intimately. As an entrepreneur, organizing my time became one of the hardest parts of what I do. After too many days and weeks of not feeling like I accomplished what I could have/should have, I decided that I needed to get serious about creating a method to the madness.
I needed ONE place to dump all of my tasks. I tried doing the digital to-do list, and it just didn’t work for me. Writing everything down and crossing each task off (highlighting them actually) was way more rewarding for me then clicking a box online. I also needed to figure out, how to block off chunks of time to dedicate to certain projects without getting distracted, and then focus on specific tasks during those chunks of time. So I created my GSD Notepad Collection. I’ve tested it. It’s awesome, and it works. For me anyway. If you feel unorganized and haven’t found the right method for you, you should give it a shot.
I do use Google Calendar religiously, and prefer to have a digital calendar, however, I like to leave my to-do list on my desk at my studio. Not take it home with me at night, not take it home with me on the weekends. I don’t want to look at it on the weekends! It helps me separate my work time from my play time. But I know everything I need to do is right there on my Master List so I’m not worried about it. Now about extending the hours in a day so you can accomplish everything you want/need to do — I can’t add more hours to the day, but I can help you use them more efficiently. More of that will be revealed in the GSD Workbook when it comes out.
The straightforward design is to help you FOCUS. Nothing additional to distract you from your tasks. If you want to add color use a colorful pen or highlighter!
So, with all that, I’m excited to announce that my GSD (#GSDgetshitdone) Notepads are now available for you! I’ve created a GSD Master List Notepad, a GSD Week Notepad, and a set of three GSD FOCUS Post-its — or you can get them in a collection. If you read this post about my GSD ebook that’s close to done (and hopefully launching before Christmas!) I mentioned the notepads, and they are now ready to help you get organized. These notepads are just a small part of the GSD Method I’ve created that I’ll be revealing in the ebook, but I wanted to offer them up to you as soon as they were ready.
You can purchase the entire collection at a discount — 1 GSD Master List, 1 GSD Week Notepad, and 3 GSD FOCUS Post-it pads, or you can purchase them all separately. The FOCUS Post-its will come in a set of three and may ship at a later date due to printing.
The hashtag is #GSDgetshitdone because unfortunately the German Shepherd community already uses #GSD on Instagram & Twitter, and I don’t think there’s any overtaking that hashtag! Would love to see a pic of your GSD Notepads in use — just make sure to use the hashtag #GSDgetshitdone!
