CARLY A. HEITLINGER // THE COLLEGE PREPSTER
What does a typical day look like for you?

When I started this blog seven years ago I had no idea that one of my most popular columns would be one about organization called Get Shit Done (not really in the style realm that I envisioned for my blog). When I started the column in 2012 I wasn’t sure how it would catch on and become what is has now, but I’m thrilled that it has. The column and writing a GSD ebook has been beyond helpful to me, so I only hope that it will be just as helpful if not more for you.
For the past few weeks I’ve had the second draft of it strewn across my entire dining room table (to the immense patience of my husband). This past weekend I basically locked myself in my condo and literally didn’t leave (maybe not a good thing to admit…). My goal was to clear the table/finish the second draft. Not only did I do that but ended up also writing 30 pages of another ebook that will also hopefully launch before the end of the year as well. The second ebook goes along the lines of GSD. I ended up breaking my GSD workshop up into two ebooks that have different focuses. I’m also going to have a few GSD notepads as well to go with my method in the workbook. Eeeeee, I’m so excited to finish this and see what you all think! (The notepads are awesome — I’m testing them now.)
On another GSD note, I’ve got a really exciting GSD interview coming up with Leo Babauta. If you don’t know who he is, he writes the blog Zen Habits. It has a large cult following — me being one of the cult. I was so excited when he emailed me back saying he was happy to do a GSD interview (he has a book coming out). Such an honor to interview someone like him.
FYI, I will be offering 50 free copies of my GSD Workbook when it’s ready in my newsletter if you want to be on the lookout there.
GSD (get shit done): A weekly column featuring busy business owners, entrepreneurs, bloggers, and CEOs and how they get shit done. Meg also writes articles with helpful ways to get shit done. Tell us how you GSD on twitter by tagging #GSDgetshitdone and @megbiram.
