Last month I moved into a studio/office space in Georgetown and I cannot tell you how much I’m in love with it. I love having an office to go to each day, being surrounded by other amazing women in DC, and having a gorgeous space to work in.
I partnered with some amazing companies to make the space beautiful and functional. I also wanted a place that fostered creativity, collaboration, and a healthy lifestyle — which is why we have standing desks instead of regular desks (more on that coming up in another post). The studio is called Creative Collective. You can see behind the scenes pics on my instagram @megbiram and with the hashtag #ccmstreetdc (CC is for Creative Collective, it’s on M Street in DC).
Above is a gorgeous heavy soapstone box by Eduardo Garza for West Elm (I posted it the last week in Meg’s Edit). It’s one of my favorite collaborations they’ve ever done with a designer. The neutral lamp is the Mountain Snow Ceramic table lamp from Lamps Plus, and they are sitting on this white bar table which I picked out to use as a standing desk because basically there aren’t any cool standing desks that aren’t really ugly.
The first day I was in the studio I was just waiting to receive packages and furniture deliveries. I sat on the floor and worked off my laptop using my Karma hotspot. I think I was smiling the entire day just thinking about how awesome this space was going to be.
