You know those shoes that just make you stop right in your shopping tracks. Ya, these Derek Lam Tate open back booties were one of those pairs for me. Like I just stopped and stared at the screen thinking — are these real? Well ladies, they are, and they’re fabulous from every angle.
There are so many things about this shoe that take it to such a level of design that blows my fashion mind. The perfectly pointed toe that isn’t too pointy go quickly go out of style. The forrest green croc-embossed calfskin leather (drool). The fact that it’s a slingback makes it perfect for spring. I love the linear quality of the seams in the leather, and of course the stacked heel that tapers down. I love a chunky heel or wedge (way easier to wear all day long) that is tapered down so you don’t get the cankle effect. No one wants cankles.
Have I convinced you of these gorgeous Derek Lam booties yet? I’m clearly obsessed.

I mean, I don’t think this really needs explanation… It’s one of the sickest graphic print jackets I’ve ever seen. The color palette is not only on trend with the pink and orange/red, but I think it’s one of those jackets that will never go out of style. It’s a graphic classic.
I might sell my left arm for it.

I know. I know. You’re thinking, damn, can I afford to shell out the dough for this beauty? Telling yourself, I‘d wear it ALL SUMMER to EVERY SINGLE EVENT because it’s just that good. Well, lemmetella, you’d probably be glad you did. Just LOOK at this long silk color-blocked thing! We all know that color-blocking is a huge fashion trend right now, but this dress puts a timeless spin on it. I can say from experience that when I invested in a designer dress that I was absolutely in love with, I was so glad I did. It was bound to happen because when I walked in, I saw it on the hanger, immediately grabbed it and wasn’t letting go. Don’t regret a cent of it and have worn it many many times.
