The Meg is tired. I’m excited to sleep in my own bed tonight with my Mr. after being out of town for 14 of the past 20 days, (currently in the airport). I am ready to head back to DC today after a wonderful time in NYC and Kansas City. I am looking forward to getting back into a groove. I love traveling, especially when its full of work, play, family, and friends (like these trips were), but know that getting back into a rhythm will feel good and be productive.
In the coming days I’ll be finishing up some paintings, working on a major project for myself (yes it has to do with MIMI+MEG, no I’m not going anywhere), and planning BLOG BIZ BUZZ seminars around the U.S. for this summer (email me to request your city). Along with the blog, consulting, paintings, other projects and freelance, I’m finally moving into a good/busy time in my business. It’s taken a while to get to this point, but I finally feel like things are on the verge of amazing. You may have read in my Things I’m Afraid To Tell You post that my transition from corporate job to working for myself was a little confusing because I had more passions than I had/have time to pursue each of them. The narrowing down process was a very internal “finding myself” time period and it definitely wasn’t easy. It was full of stress and mental exercises I’ll call them. I feel like I’m in a good place, with new fun things on the horizon (hope you like them).
Cassie’s bed looks so comfy (above). Wasn’t her place (featured in the May 2012 issue of Rue) so cute!?!

I think that your blog is great. Very professional, excellent typography, and engaging and different every day. I’m proud to be one of your readers and with so many blogs out there these days, I know how it can feel to want to stand out.
Quite the luxurious bed! Would love something like that!

Looking forward to watching your biz grow – you’re doing so amazing already!
And must go back and read your things i’m afraid…post. I’m quitting the DJ any day now and have so many passions to pursue!
Come to Miami!! I need as many Blog Seminars as I can get!
Hi there Meg!
Can’t really tell you how I came across your blog this evening (It was kind of like a crazy rabbit trail!) but I’m loving every bit! I am currently going through some major dissatisfaction with my corporate job and working on goal setting to get myself into my dream of entrepreneurship through event design and also some free lance work including calligraphy and painting. What you said above really struck a chord with me concerning having many passions but trying to narrow them down to really find yourself. I never wanted to become a “jack of all trades” for fear that I’d wear myself too thin and end up as that “master at none”.
Inspired by you and your ambition.
Thanks for blogging!
Well I can totally identify with you
I will be in Kansas City speaking at http://goblogsocial.com/ — might be a good thing for you to attend. We can also do a consult if that isn’t soon enough or detailed enough for you!
Glad you found me!
