The next purchase for our place is an office chair. I’m so torn. I love something that isn’t the exact same white chair everyone has and am leaning toward black, but I also love a good tan leather or gray. If I go tan leather it will have to be the perfect color, which is hard to decipher online, so I think that might be a no-go. I’d love to get something cool and unique from 1st Dibs, but apparently I have expensive taste and I also want the ability to move it up and down, so I’m thinking a modern leather office chair (or faux) will be where I land. I love this tan leather chair — it would definitely make a statement, but I’m not sure those arm rests will be ideal for an office chair. This gray office chair is on my list as it’s definitely affordable and also comes in a gray & white pattern.
I’ve rounded up some black & white groupings. Help me decide! I think that if I get a taller back I want it to be white, and if it’s a lower back it could be black or white, but I’m leaning toward black

Honestly, I like all of these options so it’s all about the little things. I think I want a cushier seat, and I like it when the arm rests have padding — so that knocks a few out.
Which would you choose?
i went for one similar to 5 from Overstock and am loving it. hoping it will loosen up a bit as i break it in, but it’s really comfortable. the arms are “leather” so not necessarily cushioned…might be a no-go for you. find an awesome vintage one in DC!!!
That requires time & effort…
and a truck. Which I don’t own anymore. I would love to find something different, so I’ll keep looking on CG every once in a while 
but will probably order something online.
You can’t go wrong with any chair that’s white and tufted! The ideal would be a black leather chair with gold hardware but I have found one anywhere!
I have your option 3 in the black! I love it, but I wish I got something with a higher back to rest my neck and head against. I’d go with 1 or 2 in white!

I personally LOVE the discovery chairs. Thinking of getting one for myself. As for the color, it kind of depends on the rest of the room. I know many companies make those chairs in a variety of tan leather options as well, I’m sure you can find a showroom in DC that makes them
I like your “fave” as well, but I can’t get anything with arms…I have to be able to do all sorts of weird contortions while I work to stay focused

This is GREAT. I need an office chair (I sit, veru unhappily, on a Louis Ghost chair–not the best for all day at the computer) and I just haven’t had time to seek out the right chair. For, like, a year and a half? Thanks for the shortcut!
Oooo – this is such a hard decision! I would definitely go for comfort + color over anything. You’ll be spending lots of hours in this baby so you need it to be nice on your tush!

LOVE the #2 Eames chair of course but #5 also looks like the Eames pad management chair, it would look amazing in cream or camel leather too!
