WOAH I totally want to try this! I agree – sitting all day long really drives me nuts. This would be a great way to avoid that!! Love this linkup – thanks so much for organizing it! xo

I would kill for a standing desk, but unfortunately I work for a company that isn’t the most forward thinking. I know the benefits are through the roof, which makes sitting even that much more uncomfortable! I totally dropped the ball on this link up, but I’m excited to hear what the next prompt is!

i would LOVE to use a standing desk – my sister uses one at her office on + off and really likes it. we have similar tall tables in our open space…maybe i should check out moving my laptop there a few hours a day!
such a fun link-up, lots of good ideas!

The company I work for will be moving office locations in the next 2-3 months. I put in a request to switch from my current desk to a standing desk because my back has been tightening up a lot lately while sitting. My wish should hopefully be fulfilled. The boss’s best friend has a standing desk, which is helping my cause. Unrelated, I was introduced to your blog today through The College Prepster’s link to your interview with her. I am now hooked on your blog.

Yes! I got my work to buy me one about 9 months ago! It’s the best. Now half our team has them. They are the best. Highly, highly, recommend!

My boyfriend has wanted a standing desk for the past couple of years. Once I show him your post, he’ll have to get it in our new place. It won’t help while he’s at work, but will help out at home!

I would love to have a stand up desk. I’m pretty sure my back and neck issues are a result of sitting all day long. Unfortunately working for the government you have to improvise, AKA my stand up desk is my monitor and keyboard raised with printer paper boxes and reams of paper (that is if people don’t steal the paper for printer use!) Sad, right? I guess whatever works for now! I’ll have to check out that table desk. Maybe I can sneak it in somehow…:)

oh- so bummed I missed this! But, I’ll chime in now. I’m a cube dweller and couldn’t get an actual standing desk due to the office layout. Luckily, some Internet searching uncovered the Varidesk and it’s phenomenal. It’s adjustable so I can sit or stand and it just sits on top of my current cube counter space so I can move it with me if I ever do.
Anyway, it’s a great alternative if you can’t get a new desk for whatever reason. Finally, Meg I’m about the same as you- I’m definitely standing at least 90% and usually only sit in meetings.

I’ve heard the best things about standing desks. I’m in the process of setting up my studio and I have a low drawer cabinet that’s 5 or 6 feet long but only knee high. I’m definitely trying to figure out how to raise it to a work table level! It’s a lovely piece, but so oddly low.

I’ve really been considering a standing desk. I know it’s so much better for me, but I also worry that I might not love it. It’s so good to see a positive review.

Love the look of this Standing Desk! So sleek! I can feel how bad sitting and slouching (because who’s posture is good when looking at a computer) is for my back, and should definitely look into one!

    Hi Meg!
I enjoyed this so much and got a lot of advice for upcoming “must haves” for the year. I hope I can be part of the next round.
