I love people with a distinct style. Karl Lagerfeld is one of those distinct people that you could recognize from far away from any direction. His trademark sunglasses, ponytail and consistent black & white getup is beyond memorable. When I saw these watches my eyes got reeeeeally big and I had to know where I could find them. I was surprised to find that it is a collaboration between Karl and Fossil Watches which debuts tomorrow.
My personal connection to Fossil is when I was in college I was the jewelry, fragrance, and Greek merchandise (sororities) buyer for the MIZZOU bookstore (kind of bad ass I know) and I bought Fossil watches by the boatload. They flew off the shelves as fast as Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue. Fossil was definitely the “cool” watch brand at the time for college girls (in the Midwest at least). But honestly I haven’t really thought about them since.
Fossil, you now have my attention. And probably some of my money. Because I will be getting one of these watches. They have released almost no photos, but Elle.com had the one above and a silvery version. You can get the details and find locations on the WatchKarl.com website.
I’m dying to see the entire collection tomorrow.
