Today Alison of Heart of Gold and Luxury shares a delicious seasonal dessert with us, a Cranberry Vanilla Pavlova. Mmmmm right in time for the holidays! — Meg
As the holidays begin to come around, my mind (and stomach) have already begun to dream up new takes on holiday favorites. Since Thanksgiving is next Thursday, I thought I would share with you a delicious and seasonal dessert incorporating cranberries. Traditionally the cranberry is reserved for sauces or gelatin molds, oftentimes overlooked as they are served aside the fragrant turkey or buttery mash potatoes. I was looking for a different way to use this vibrant berry and make them the star of a dish and there is no better way to do this than with a dessert. I decided to make a Cranberry and Vanilla Pavlova, a delightfully light treat that achieves the perfect ratio of tartness to sweetness. The light and airy pavlova acts like a fluffy marshmallow and holds the whip cream and vanilla bean-infused cranberry topping perfectly. If you want to impress your guests or host next Thursday, bring out this elegant (not to mention easy) dessert and the crowd will most definitely be pleased.

Beautiful! and so festive! I love anything with meringue….nice and light…I feel like I’m eating protein and being all healthy….never mind the sugar.
This looks absolutely delish! Pavlova is one of my favorite desserts! I first tried it while visiting Australia a few years ago and have yet to try my hand at making it. Your pavlova looks so delicious (and festive!), I can’t resist giving it a try…
