Coffee Talk // I’m Thankful

As I sit here on Thanksgiving in my Saturday Pants, I’m reflecting on what has been the most un-Thanksgiving-like Thanksgiving for me. It’s only the second time I’ve never been with either my family or my husband’s family for the holiday. And the only other time doesn’t really count because I was with my grandpa, but no one else. I did Skype with my family for an hour, and they passed the computer around so I could say hi to everyone that was there, which was awesome. But due to the 30-page paper my husband is writing (among other papers) and the crazy-high prices of flights, we stayed in DC for the holiday.

I had all day to think about everything I’m thankful for, and lemmetellya, it’s a lot. I’m not going to get into the gushy gushy I love my husband (even though I do and am still so in love with him) and how much I’m thankful to have such an amazing family… because I think partners, family, friends, and health are typically what most are thankful for (as they should be).

There are also lots of other things I’m thankful for. One being YOU. Thank you so much for reading/looking at my blog. (Unless you are a weirdo stalker, then please stop reading. But if you are a regular-digital-non-creepy-stalker, that’s cool.) You have thousands (maybe even millions?) of amazing blogs to choose from for inspiration, yet you chose to come here, and I thank you for that.

On a lighter note, I’m thankful for Skype, modern technology (pretty much Apple), and wireless internet. The cinnamon pine cones that fill up our condo with an amazing aroma. The cheesy potatoes we bought from Whole Foods this morning for Thanksgiving (oh ya, we totally did that!). The fact that Whole Foods is literally 15 steps from our place. Sophia Grace and Rosie. Nars Orgasm, okay all orgasms in general.
