I just had the pleasure of seeing Gab last week at ALT Summit. We met at ALT last year when I featured him in my Up & Coming Blogs presentation and he just happened to be in the audience. We had the chance to hang out for a few minutes this year, but I tell ya — with 600+ people sometimes you don’t see the people you want to for more than 10 minutes! Gab had a special time at ALT this year because it was his birthday. His 30th birthday. Pretty fun when all of your blogger friends are all together for it! I’m loving these images that he is featuring today. Definitely click through to see them all, they are beautiful. — Meg

Hello friends! Happy 2013. Today’s post is about combining art and fashion in a flawless way. We’ve seen many editorials that are art on their own — and many exhibitions that could inspire the most stylish runways. But what about mixing both elements without losing their identity? Well, I think
Lula nailed it with their 2012 Fall editorial photographed by
Glynis Selina Arban (who — by the way — has an fantastic portfolio).
You see the art, you see the clothes, you see it all at the same time. A beautiful coherent look with tons of pieces that complement each other. I know this is from 2012, but I am telling ya — these kind of shoots will set the tone for 2013 and, I think we can expect to see many more of these museum-worthy editorials.
Here’s a tip for all of you fashion bloggers — collaborate with an artist and create something new. Arty partnerships can definitely be your new 2013 mantra!
‘Til next time.

Dear lord, I love that magazine. There was a brief period where Barnes and Noble carried it but now I can’t find it in the US at all, and it’s so expensive to ship it internationally!
Might have to shell out for it anyhow, it’s really heads above everything else on the newsstand.
Love these beautiful photos. I can never seem to get enough editorials.
